Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and MicroBiz ("we", "us"), which provides MicroBiz. Please read them with the Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or signing in to MicroBiz, on the web or on Android, you agree to these terms. If you use MicroBiz for a business, you confirm that you may agree to them for that business. If you don't agree, please don't use MicroBiz.
You must be at least 18 years old to use MicroBiz.
2. What MicroBiz is, and what it isn't
MicroBiz is a record-keeping tool for small businesses in the Philippines: products and stock, purchases, sales, expenses, customer credit (utang), cash counts, contacts and reports.
- It records payments; it doesn't process them. When you mark a sale as paid by cash, GCash, Maya, card or another method, MicroBiz only writes down what you entered. No money moves through MicroBiz.
- Receipts are not BIR invoices. Every receipt says: "This is not a BIR-registered invoice or official receipt." MicroBiz is not a BIR-accredited invoicing or accounting system, and you remain responsible for your own invoices, books and taxes.
- Reports are a guide. Profit, stock value and other figures are calculated from the records you enter, so they are only as accurate as those records. They are not accounting, tax or legal advice.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your Google account and your password secure; anything done while you are signed in counts as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- An owner creates a business and decides who joins it as manager or cashier. The owner is responsible for the people they invite and for what those people can see and do in the roles they are given.
- Give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
4. Your records
- The records a business enters belong to that business. You give us permission to store, process and display them only so we can provide MicroBiz to you, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- You can export your records as CSV files at any time from the app.
- When you add customers, suppliers or other people to your contacts, you are responsible for having their permission or another lawful basis under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and for using their details only for your business.
- Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We back up MicroBiz every day, but it is not a substitute for your own records.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use MicroBiz to break the law; to store other people's information without a lawful basis; to try to reach another business's records or get around the roles and limits in the app; to disrupt, overload or attack the service; to copy or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows; or to resell it.
We may suspend or close an account that does, after telling you why when we safely can.
6. Plans and payment
- The Free plan has limits on products, contacts and team members. The limits are shown in the app under Settings → Plan & billing.
- Paid plans are bought in the MicroBiz Android app as Google Play subscriptions. The price, including any taxes, is shown in Google Play before you buy. Google charges you and renews the plan every month until you cancel, and refunds follow Google Play's policies.
- Cancel in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions). Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your MicroBiz account doesn't cancel the subscription.
- If a paid plan ends, the business returns to the Free plan's limits. We never delete records to enforce a limit: everything you already have stays, and you can't add new records past a limit until you upgrade or bring the count down.
- We may change prices or plans. A price change applies from your next renewal, and Google Play tells you before it does.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by following the steps on the Delete account page.
- If you own a business, it closes at once for you and your team, and it is deleted for good with all its records after 30 days. Until then you can sign in and cancel.
- If you are a manager or cashier, your login is deleted at once. The business keeps the records you made, shown as made by "Deleted user".
Backups that still contain deleted records expire within 12 months (see the Privacy Policy).
8. Our software
MicroBiz, its software, name and design belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use MicroBiz for your business while you follow these terms. Google Sign-In and Google Play are provided by Google under its own terms.
9. Availability and changes to MicroBiz
We work to keep MicroBiz available and your records safe, but we can't promise that it will always be available, error-free or unchanged. We may add, change or remove features.
We will tell you in the app before a change that takes away something you rely on. If we stop offering MicroBiz, we will tell you at least 30 days before, so you have time to export your records.
10. Liability
MicroBiz is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data;
- we aren't liable for losses caused by records entered incorrectly, by people you gave access to, or by a device, Google account or password you didn't keep secure;
- our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for MicroBiz in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Philippine law that cannot be limited by agreement, including under the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
11. Ending use
You may stop using MicroBiz and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms for an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks them, after notice where we safely can. Sections 4, 8, 10 and 13 continue after the terms end.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will post the new version here with a new date. We will tell you in the app about significant changes before they apply. If you keep using MicroBiz after that, you accept the new terms; if you don't accept them, you can delete your account.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes are decided by the courts of the Philippines that have jurisdiction.
